Sonnenschein is a location in the Ronsdorf district of the Bergisch city of Wuppertal in North Rhine-Westphalia in Germany .
Location and description
The location is in the residential area of Ronsdorf-Mitte / Nord in the area of Holthauser Straße, east of the Holthausen court and west of the center of Ronsdorf. In addition to Holthausen, neighboring locations are the locations and residential areas (Luhnsfelder) Höhe , Monschau and Huckenbach . The original settlement core is now part of the residential development along the street.

On the topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1824 and on the Prussian first survey of 1843, the location is not marked, but with lettering on the Ronsdorf community map from 1826 and on the editions of the table sheet from 1892 to 1988.
In 1832, Sonnenschein belonged to the Holthauser Rotte in the rural outskirts of the city of Ronsdorf . The place, which was categorized as individual houses according to the statistics and topography of the Düsseldorf administrative district , had three residential buildings at that time. At that time, 27 residents lived in the place, six Catholic and 21 Protestant faith. In the municipality lexicon for the Rhineland province from 1888, six houses with 89 inhabitants are given.
