Sons of Lee Marvin
Sons of Lee Marvin (dt. Sons of Lee Marvin ) - a humorous secret club founded by the American director Jim Jarmusch . The members of the club must have a certain resemblance to the actor Lee Marvin in order to potentially be mistaken for his sons. Apparently the members meet once a year to watch films with Marvin.
founding
John Boorman , the director of the Lee Marvin film Point Blank , who was an inspiration for Jarmusch's The Limits of Control , is said to have said that Jarmusch externally reminded him of Marvin. Jarmusch is said to have heard the same from Sam Fuller . While filming Down by Law , Jarmusch had the idea of making a film in which he, Tom Waits and John Lurie would play the sons of a character played by Marvin. However, Marvin died in 1987, which made the realization of the idea impossible.
Members
The confirmed members of Sons of Lee Marvin include Jim Jarmusch, singer Tom Waits , saxophonist John Lurie , writer Richard Boes , singer Nick Cave and director John Boorman , who is an honorary member. Other, unconfirmed members are said to be the singers Iggy Pop , Thurston Moore and Neil Young as well as the actor Josh Brolin .
