Sordid Flesh is a death metal band from Sandviken that was formed in 2011.

history

The band was formed in early 2011. A few months later a first three-song demo was recorded at Cobra Studio in Stockholm . The debut album followed in autumn 2013 under the name Torturer on Vic Records . The group consists of the singer Fredrik Håf, the guitarists Johan Vikholm and Olle Hedenström, the drummer Emil Berglin and the bassist Jacob Wiberg. The album was not recorded in a recording studio, but in a concert hall, in order to capture a live atmosphere that prevails at concerts, according to singer Håf. As with the demo before, Ola Ersfjord was the producer for the recordings .

style

According to Andreas Stappert from Rock Hard you can clearly hear influences from rock 'n' roll on Torturer . In an interview with Stappert, singer Håf named old rock and metal bands such as Venom , Motörhead , Judas Priest , Iron Maiden , Celtic Frost , Darkthrone and Aura Noir as influences.
