description
The three-meter-high, round structure was erected from concrete in 1938 and put into operation. After Jersey was occupied by the Wehrmacht , buildings of the Atlantic Wall were built around the lighthouse during World War II , which are still preserved today. In 2009, the initially black and white checkered paintwork of the beacon was replaced by a white one, and at the same time it was converted to solar energy .
The sector fire warns of the shallows north of Jersey. It has a fire height of around 50 m and shows as an identifier a blinking with a return of 7.5 seconds (LFl.WR.7.5s).
