Sorry! is a board and card game . It is based on the traditional Indian game Pachisi , just like Mensch ärgere dich nicht , but is played with cards instead of dice and is similar to the game Tock .

As with other Pachisi descendants, the players try to get their pawns around the playing field into their target field faster than their opponents . Published by Parker Brothers is Sorry! designed for two or four players, ages six and up. The name “Sorry!” Comes from the “Sorry!” Card with which a player can make it very difficult for one of his opponents to advance.

The modern deck of cards from Sorry! contains 45 cards: five 1 and four each of 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, and four Sorry! -Cards. There are no 6s and 9s to avoid confusion. In the first edition, the deck had 44 cards (four each).
