Status: end of career

Souleymane Mamam (born June 20, 1985 in Lomé ) is a former Togolese football player in the position of an attacking midfielder .

After several youth stations in Togo, Mamam was first used in the professional field at the Belgian second division club Royal Antwerp . Due to labor regulations, he was not allowed to play there despite a contract with Manchester United and was immediately loaned to Belgium in 2003. From 2007 he was permanently under contract with Royal, from January 2010 he was in the service of the lower-class club KRC Mechelen . He played the 2011/2012 season for al Nejmeh in Lebanon and then ended his active career.

After many misrepresentations, which gave him his birthday June 20, 1987, he was counted as the youngest World Cup participant in 2001 during World Cup qualification. In the meantime, his date of birth has been corrected on various official websites and he is therefore no longer officially the youngest World Cup participant.
