The Source du Pontet (dt. Source of Pontet) is a karst spring in the Jura in Mouthier-Haute-Pierre in the French department of Doubs .
description
The spring water of the Source du Pontet rises from a mighty cave portal in a tuff rock wall. The source is located near the Source de la Loue , just below the Grotte des Faux Monnayeurs . Both caves are located in a wooded area and form a common hydrological system. The Pontet, which rises there, flows over numerous waterfalls and cascades and flows into the Loue after about 200 m from the right . The large cave portal can only be accessed for up to 90 m when the spring is absolutely dry. Route nationale 67 runs above the Source du Pontet .
