South Canberra
South Canberra , also known as Inner South , is a borough of Canberra , the capital of Australia . It is 86.4 km² and includes 13 districts with a total of 23,536 inhabitants (2003). The district is on the south shore of Lake Burley Griffin ; it is part of the oldest part of Canberra and was built largely in accordance with the plans of Walter Burley Griffin . Almost all parts of the city were built between 1922 and 1928, with the exception of Narrabundah (1947).
