The South Knife River is a tributary of the Hudson Bay in the Canadian province of Manitoba .
The South Knife River forms the drain of Etawney Lake . It flows in a predominantly north-northeast direction, flows through the South Knife Lake , then turns to the east-northeast. In the lower reaches of the South Knife River flows north and reaches 25 km northwest of Churchill the estuary delta on the west coast of Hudson Bay, into which the North Knife River , coming from the west, also flows.
