The South Spit (English for Südspieß ) is a rocky headland in the southwest of King George Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It marks the south side of the entrance to Marian Cove .
Scientists from the British Discovery Investigations conducted surveys in 1935. Your descriptive name appears for the first time on a nautical chart of the British Admiralty , which is based on these measurements. South Korean scientists, however, named it in 2010 as Sejong Cape , based on the name of the neighboring South Korean King Sejong Station .
