The South Twin (or South Twin Peak ) is a 3581 m (according to other sources 3549 m ) high peak in Jasper National Park in the province of Alberta in Canada .
The South Twin is located in the Sir Winston Churchill Range on the northeastern edge of the Columbia Ice Field . The associated mountain range was first named The Twins in 1898 by J. Norman Collie and Hugh Stutfield . The higher peak is at 3684 m and is now called North Twin . The South Twin was first climbed in 1924 by FV Field, WO Field and L. Harris with mountain guides Edward Feuz Junior and J. Biner.
