The North Twin (or North Twin Peak ) is a 3733 m (according to other sources 3719 m ) high mountain in Jasper National Park in the province of Alberta in Canada .
It is the third highest peak in the Canadian Rockies after Mount Robson and Mount Columbia .
North Twin Peak is located in the Sir Winston Churchill Range on the northeastern edge of the Columbia Ice Field . The associated mountain range was first named The Twins in 1898 by J. Norman Collie and Hugh Stutfield . The second peak is at 3556 m and is now called South Twin . The North Twin was first climbed in 1923 by WS Ladd and J. Monroe Thorington with guide Konrad Kain .
