The SpVgg Bernkastel-Kues is a German football club based in the Rhineland-Palatinate town of Bernkastel-Kues in the municipality of the same name in the district of Bernkastel-Wittlich .
history
Established until the post-war period
The association was founded in 1920. After the Second World War , the first team for the 1947/48 season was incorporated into the South Season of the second-rate Landesliga Rheinland . For the 1951/52 season , the league was then dissolved and the first four clubs of the southern season were allowed to compete in the new third-rate amateur league Rhineland, the club did not make this cut and thus plays in the 2nd amateur league from now on.
Current time
For the 2005/06 season a new first team began in the district league C district of Mosel and was able to win the championship there with 56 points. In the district league B, you could keep the class with 28 points. After the 2007/08 season, however, the team rose again from the district league C. The next championship here came after the 2009/10 season. In the following season even with championship in the district league B, the direct march through. In the district league A, the team was able to stay in the league with 26 points at the end of the 2011/12 season. After the next season, however, the relegation was due again with only 17 points. After the 2013/14 season they only ended up in a lower position in the table. For the 2014/15 season, the club then merged with SpVgg Mühlheim-Brauneberg to form SG Mittelmosel . This syndicate still plays its games in the district league B today.
