Spanish town hall Lommersum
The Spanish town hall Lommersum is a rococo building in Lommersum , a district of the municipality of Weilerswist in the district of Euskirchen ( North Rhine-Westphalia ), which was built in the first half of the 18th century. The building is a listed building .
history
The Spanish City Hall, which is located on the edge of the church area on Walramstrasse, got its name because Lommersum was under the rule of the Spanish Habsburgs . From 1522 to 1786 it was under the "Sovereign Council of Brabant" in Brussels and thus under the rule of Spain.
architecture
The Spanish Town Hall is a simple one-story rococo building from the first half of the 18th century. It has three axes and is covered with a hipped roof. The portal with simple rococo molding closes with a triangular gable, which is provided with a heraldic cartouche. In the coat of arms of the Counts of is Schaesberg shown that in 1710 the county Kerpen-Lommersum to feud had received.
