Sparkasse Hilden-Ratingen-Velbert was created on January 1, 2003 through the merger of the formerly independent Stadt-Sparkasse Hilden with Sparkasse Ratingen and Sparkasse Velbert. With around 240,000 residents in its business area and around 730 employees, it is the largest savings bank in the Mettmann district.
