history
The Städtische Sparkasse zu Neuss was founded on September 22nd, 1828 as one of the first in the Rhine Province in connection with a pawnshop. In 1855 branch offices were opened in Dormagen and Rommerskirchen. In 1994 the Stadtsparkasse Neuss merged with the Kreissparkasse Grevenbroich from 1856. The new Sparkasse became the largest credit institute in the Rhein-Kreis Neuss. Stadtsparkasse was taken Korschenbroich 2002, 2006 also in Büttgen based Stadtsparkasse Kaarst-Büttgen. In 2003, the company celebrated its 175th anniversary on September 22nd.
