The establishment of the Sparkasse Wittenberg as Kreissparkasse Wittenberg was decided on March 10, 1824 by the city council.
Today the business area of the Sparkasse Wittenberg is the district of Wittenberg. In the meantime, the merger with the Kreissparkasse Jessen in 1994 as well as the transfer of parts of the Kreissparkasse Anhalt-Ost and the transfer of branches from the business area of the Kreissparkasse Anhalt-Bitterfeld in 1996 and 2009 took account of the corresponding regional reforms.
Social Commitment
