Sparkleshare is an open-source - client - software to share files with a file hosting - service to match . By default, it uses Git as the storage backend, so any changes to the files can be made available again. It's comparable to Dropbox , but the cloud storage can be provided by your own server or a hosted solution such as GitHub or Gitorious. In the simplest case, your own local server, it only requires SSH and Git.
Supported Operating Systems
SparkleShare runs on Windows , macOS and Linux . For some distributions there are ready-made packages, so packages exist in the sources of openSUSE in version 12.1 and Arch Linux .
