The SV Sparta Lichtenberg is a German sports club from Berlin . Home of the club is the Fischerstraße sports field , which can accommodate 1,000 spectators.
Club (soccer)
The SV Sparta Lichtenberg was founded on June 3, 1911 as the Sparta Sports Association . The workers' association from Berlin took part in the German Red Sports Championship in the 1930s . In the 1931 championships, Sparta reached the final. Against the DSV 1910, the Berliners lost 2: 3. Several well-known anti-fascists were active in the Sparta multi - branch association, including Werner Seelenbinder , Hans Zoschke and Erwin Nöldner .
After the end of the war, the association was re-established as SG Lichtenberg-Süd . Lichtenberg-Süd took part in the Berlin championship in 1945/46 (at the same time qualifying for the Berlin City League ), which was clearly missed. From 1949 there were several name changes, first in SG Sparta Lichtenberg , then in ZSG or BSG Sparta-Siemens Lichtenberg and from November 1950 back in SG Sparta Lichtenberg . After the nationalization of the sponsoring company , Sparta acted briefly as an independent sports community, but later appeared again under the names BSG Sparta Berlin and BSG Sparta Lichtenberg . The now nationalized VEB Elektrokohle Lichtenberg acted as the sponsoring company . In 1973 the Berliner Rundfunk joined the BSG. This always played lower class in GDR football and only reached the third class Berlin district league as the top division .
After the reunification , the BSG was converted into the SV Sparta Lichtenberg association . The Berliners have now played five seasons in the Association League Berlin . After several years in the state league, the club rose again as champions in the Berlin league in 2013 , but from there again in 2015. After two seasons, he returned to the Berlin League in 2017, which ended in 4th place in the first year . The following year Sparta finished the season as runner-up in the Berlin League after a long race for the title with Tasmania Berlin .
