Spath Crest are a group of up to 1,450  m high and rocky mountain peaks in the East Antarctic Coatsland . In the Shackleton Range they tower up in the Read Mountains and mark the northwestern end of the Du-Toit Nunatakker .

Aerial photographs were taken in 1967 by the United States Navy . The British Antarctic Survey carried out surveys between 1968 and 1971. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named the group on January 5, 1972 after the British paleontologist Leonard Spath (1882-1957).
