The Spear Glacier is a glacier on the Orville coast of West Antarctica Ellsworthland . It flows between the Hauberg Mountains and the Peterson Hills to the Filchner-Ronne Ice Shelf .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it on the basis of its own surveys and with the help of aerial photographs of the United States Navy between 1961 and 1967. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the glacier in 1968 after Milton B. Spear (1937-1998), construction electrician at Eights Station in 1965.
