The Peterson Hills are a group of hills on the Orville Coast of West Antarctic Ellsworthland . They are east of the Spear Glacier between the Hauberg Mountains and the Wilkins Mountains .

The United States Geological Survey mapped them using its own surveys and aerial photographs by the United States Navy between 1961 and 1967. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the mountains in 1968 after David G. Peterson, electrical engineer at the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station in 1963.
