The Special Warfare Combatant-craft Crewmen ( SWCC ; German combat boat crews for special warfare ) is a career group in the US Navy . At the same time, as Special Boat Teams , they form a maritime special unit with a focus on littoral combat operations, which is subordinate to the Naval Special Warfare Group FOUR (NSWG-4) with headquarters in Little Creek , Virginia .

The unit, which was set up on April 16, 1987, is equipped with motorized boats that are heavily armed for its size and its primary task is to bring the Navy SEALs from the sea to their locations and, if necessary, to give them fire support, and secondly, reconnaissance and patrols - and to carry out combat missions in a littoral environment.
