Speed of Sound in Walibi Holland (Biddinghuizen, Flevoland, Netherlands) is a boomerang roller coaster of the Shuttle Coaster type from the manufacturer Vekoma . The Boomerang opened in 2000 under the name La Via Volta. Although this attraction was right at the entrance, the boomerang wasn't exactly a magnet for visitors. So it was closed in 2007. Boomerang did not reopen until 4 years later. In addition to a new coat of paint, the railway was given a tunnel and a soundtrack specially tailored to the railway.
A top speed of 75 km / h is reached at a maximum height of 38 m. The journey does not have a closed route. The train is pulled backwards out of the station onto a lift hill, from where it travels the 266.7 m long route. At the end of the route, the passengers are pulled up using the chain lift hill and then reverse the route until the train comes to a stop again in the station.

The roller coaster train is divided into seven cars. In each car there are two rows of seats, each of which can accommodate two passengers.
Triva
The track's music was composed by the Dutch DJ Randy van Velde . It adapts to the web speed. It is the first of its kind to have a music theme. In 2014, EqWalizer in the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Park was followed by another with the song Hello World by WAB (Walibi Adventure Band). Just like with Speed of Sound, the song here also adapts to the speed.
