Walibi Holland is an amusement park about 5 km southeast of Biddinghuizen ( Dronten municipality , Netherlands ). Around 810,000 people visit it every year.
development
The original name of the amusement park was Flevohof (1971-1991), whereby the Flevo refers to the province of Flevoland , in which the park is also located.
With the purchase by the Walibi Group (1994) the park was renamed Walibi Flevo and in 2000 under the new owner Six Flags it was converted into the first European Six Flags Park Six Flags Holland and the self-proclaimed Rollercoasters Capital of Europe (“Roller Coaster Capital of Europe ") Expanded. After the sale of Six Flags Europe, the park was renamed Walibi World by the new owner StarParks in 2005 and rebuilt again. In 2006 the park was finally sold to Grévin & Cie , who have been running the park since 2007. Since 2011 the park has been run under the name Walibi Holland .
Attractions
roller coaster
Goliath, one of the main attractions, is at 46.8 m high and is 11th among the highest roller coasters in Europe (as of spring 2007). In 2019, the new hybrid roller coaster Untamed was opened instead of Robin Hood .
