La Mer de Sable (or Mer de Sable ) is a Opened in 1963 theme and leisure park in France in Ermenonville in the region Hauts-de-France , about 45 km northeast of Paris removed.
history
La Mer de Sable is the oldest theme park in France. The park was opened in 1963 by the French actor Jean Richard .
In 2005 the park was sold to the Compagnie des Alpes . With the change of operator, the number of visitors fell continuously. In the 2004 season, the park had around 430,000 visitors a year. Ten years later, in the 2014 season there were only 320,000 visitors a year. At the beginning of 2015, the Compagnie des Alpes announced the sale of the park together with the Planète Sauvage zoo for 15.4 million euros to the Looping Group . The Looping Group has been the new operator of the park since the end of June 2015.
The park offers 28 attractions on an area of 55 hectares, including five playgrounds and three shows.
