Speedweek
Speedweek was originally a weekly motorsport magazine based in Uster, Switzerland . Since the print edition was discontinued with a circulation of 75,000 copies (as of 2010), only an Internet presence has been offered, which among other things contains a database of over 70 racing series.
history
Speedweek was founded in 2008 by the former editor-in-chief of Motorsport aktuell , the Austrian Günther Wiesinger. The motorsport magazine was published by Red Bulletin Schweiz AG, a subsidiary of Red Bull Media House . In addition to the function of editor-in-chief, Günther Wiesinger was also in charge of the company's management.
The first issue appeared in November of the same year with a little over 80 pages. Initially printed on newsprint, the magazine was produced in the summer of 2009 using heatset printing on glossy paper.
The last printed edition of Speedweek was published on November 27, 2012. Since then, reports have been made exclusively on the website www.speedweek.com.
Content and dissemination
In addition to the Formula 1 , DTM , MotoGP and Superbike World Championships , Speedweek reports on rally , long-distance and track sports as well as aerial races , motocross and the history of motorsport.
The print edition of Speedweek appeared 51 times a year in German-speaking countries until the printed edition was discontinued. Subscription was available worldwide.
