The Spence River is a river in the southwest of the Australian state of Tasmania .
geography
The river has its source in the Western Plains on the western border of the Franklin Gordon Wild Rivers National Park . It flows first to the northwest and then after about ten kilometers describes a narrow semicircle to the southwest and southeast. It then runs almost parallel to its upper course - only in the opposite direction - to the southeast and flows into the Gordon River about two and a half kilometers east of the Heritage Landing settlement .
