At the original location at Hahnerberger Strasse

The house on Spessartweg 33 in the Wuppertal district of Cronenberg was placed under protection as a monument on November 27, 1985 . The building is an indispensable part of the historical structure of the Cronenberg district and an example of the good quality of the Bergisch half-timbered construction of the time.

description

The Gietenbruchhaus type residential building was built at the end of the 17th century in the Hahnerberg district on the provincial road Elberfeld – Hitdorf (later street address Hahnerberger Strasse 12). The two-storey half-timbered house has a central entrance door with windows on both sides, lattice windows and a half-hipped roof and central gables with semicircular windows in the tympanum . The garden and the gable facade are slated . An extension was added to the original building around 1800, which was adapted to the existing half-timbered construction. A central projectile with a gable was added to the structure.

The original location on Hahnerberger Strasse ( 51 ° 13 ′ 41.1 ″  N , 7 ° 9 ′ 0.4 ″  E ) had to give way in 1982 to the construction of the Hahnerberger Tunnel on Landesstrasse 418 . Because of its cultural and historical importance, it was dismantled and moved to its present location at Spessartweg in the neighboring district Küllenhahn translocated . The concealed central projectile and the road-side slab were omitted.
