Spidi
Peter Wetzel (born December 27, 1966 - † July 26, 2018 ), known under the stage name Spidi , was a Swiss clown who was known nationwide as a symbol of Circus Knie .
The small Wetzel ran away from home as a teenager for fear of his violent, alcoholic father and went into hiding for six years. Since 1994 he has been a member of Circus Knie and was part of the program in various roles. He was also known as the always happy seller of programs in front of a total of around 8,000 performances.
In the summer of 2018 he committed at the age of 51 years suicide . The circus members and several hundred people remembered him in a service in the circus tent on the Allmend in Bern.
