The toy museum "Die Dachbodenbande" was initially located in the historic Speicherstadt in Hamburg before it moved to Kuhlen-Wendorf in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in March 2011 .

A special kind of museum was created on an old warehouse floor with an exhibition area of ​​450 m² . The museum shows toys from bygone times in the ambience of an old attic. The toy doesn't just stand or lie around; Visitors will also find something in chests, drawers and cans. After registration, torchlight tours are possible in the evening hours.

The name "The Attic Gang" alludes to seven plush toys that symbolically act as guardians of the exhibition and live in a hidden room.
