The Spius Creek is a 45 km long left tributary of the Nicola River in the southern Canadian province of British Columbia .
River course
The Spius Creek has its origins in a mountain lake at an altitude of 1,500 meters in the Northern Cascade Range , 10 km east from the Fraser Canyon located village of Boston Bar . The Spius Creek initially flows 15 km in an easterly direction and then turns to the north-northeast. Larger tributaries are Maka Creek from the right and Prospect Creek from the left. The Spius Creek finally flows into the Nicola River 17 km west of Merritt .
Hydrology
The river drains an area of 775 km². The mean discharge at the mouth is 10.1 m³ / s. The river usually carries the largest amounts of water during the spring floods in May and June.
