The Splettrhex

Splettrhex is a short film (2009) by the puppet artist Florian Moch and the Hamburg-based film production company FoliX-Films . The film is a horror comedy with puppets and the result of a no-budget project. Prominent actors and speakers have given the marionettes their voices in Splettrhex. The first TV broadcast of the film will be in April 2010 on the ZDFtheaterkanal . The film is also available online. The making of the film is documented in a making-of.

Mysterious incidents made the citizens of a small town in the 17th century freeze the marrow in the bones. Nobody knows what to do and heads keep rolling ... Because the mayor and the pastor are also helpless. Will they restore law and order and stop the bloodshed? “Splettrhex” is a very unconventional puppet short film: a morbid horror tale, a puppet splatter film with a portion of comedy.
