Spoken View Records is a hip-hop - label from Berlin , which was founded of 2006. Kathleen Stülpner was the initiator who teamed up with her friends V. Raeter, Mr. Mick, Sir Serch, Damion Davis , Aesop and Thomas Grummt. Under the name Spoken View , their friends should be given a platform to make their music more accessible to listeners. At the same time, it was about countering the excess of gangster rap in Berlin.

The texts of the label artists often tell lyrical and technically demanding stories and thus stand out from the texts of many other German rappers in terms of both content and language . Even the beats often follow a stubborn style compared to most German rap artists. You have a strong connection to American rap from the early 1990s. The beats are based on samples taken from obscure soundtracks and archive music from the 1970s. Funk and soul are also used, which further strengthens the comparison with classic productions from New York .

The term Spoken View is intended to underline the imagery of the texts. The raps are peppered with many metaphors and comparisons. Currently, the rappers Morlockk Dilemma , Hiob and the formation Sichtbeton, consisting of the rapper Lunte and the producer V.Raeter, are releasing on the label .
