Rosemary Abitabile Rodriguez (* in Boston , Massachusetts ) is an American film and television director .

Life

Rosemary Abitabile Rodriguez was born in Boston. She was adopted by an Italian American couple and grew up in Amherst , New York . She studied at Brandeis University and moved to their completion under New York City to attend the New York University to study film. Instead, she became a drug addict and lived on the streets for three years. She later processed these experiences between the ages of 27 and 30 to make the short film Acts of Worship . It took nine years to make the film. It has been critically acclaimed and has received various awards at several film festivals. For example, she was nominated for the John Cassavetes Award at the Independent Spirit Awards 2002 .

Since 2004 she has worked as a director for various television series. She staged episodes of Rescue Me , Castle and most recently Good Wife and Elementary .
