Spomenka Štimec (born January 4, 1949 in Orehovica , Croatia ) is a Croatian writer who also writes in Esperanto .

life and work

Her best-known work is the novel Shadows on the Landscape of the Soul , which depicts the separation from the love partner in a precisely drawn psychological interior view. In the Croatian War Night Book , which is also published in German, she describes experiences during the Balkan War . Štimec studied the German and French languages. For a long time she worked at the International Cultural Service in Zagreb and organized a. a. the local International Puppet Theater Festival. Spomenka Štimec is a member of the Esperanto Academy .
