Spree view

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Spreeblick refers to a blog in Germany and the publishing house of the same name, Spreeblick Verlag KG , based in Berlin .

history

The blog was founded by Johnny Haeusler and his wife Tanja Haeusler in 2002. It became well known in the media in December 2004 after the business practices of the ringtone provider Jamba were discussed. In 2005, the couple and the owners of five other blogs founded the first publishing house for weblogs to “help professional bloggers with the acquisition of advertising and sponsors, but above all with the marketing of the texts”.

In 2006 the Spreeblick weblog received the Grimme Online Award in the special category for “creative performance, design and text quality”. One of the reasons for the award was that the blog “repeatedly uses journalistic means” and deals with “topics that are taken up by traditional media”. "Set pieces of pop culture " thus become "something completely new in an intelligent way". In 2007 four other authors wrote regularly for Spreeblick. A total of up to 13 authors work for the publication. In early 2007 the blog was accessed an average of 7,000 times a day.

The blog became widely known in early 2010 through reports and comments on the abuse scandal at the Canisius College in Berlin , where blog founder Haeusler went to school.

Content

Spreeblick sees itself as an "entertainment, culture and opinion channel" and "counterpoint to the existing media landscape" and publishes content in various categories such as pop culture, politics, products and positions as a weblog, web feed or podcast . Toni Mahoni published 136 episodes of his videocast from February 2006 to February 2008 on Spreeblick. Johnny Haeusler also published topics on the weblog on the radio, so since October 2006 the weekly program trackback, the show with spreeblick, which deals with topics related to the blogosphere , has been broadcast on Radio Fritz for about a year . The Spreeblick show has been on Flux FM since September 2012 , in which Johnny Haeusler talks to a well-known personality for two hours.
