Johnny Haeusler (* 21st August 1964 in Berlin as Jörg Haeusler ) is a German musician , blogger , media designer , author and radio journalist . He is the front man of the rock band Plan B as well as co-founder and organizer of re: publica , an event that has been taking place annually in Berlin since 2007 on everything to do with Web 2.0 .

Live and act

Haeusler attended the Canisius-Kolleg Jesuit high school in Berlin . At the age of 15, "Johnny" Haeusler changed his first name for his first record release. Haeusler has been married since 2001 and lives with his wife Tanja and their two sons in Berlin-Tempelhof . Sven Haeusler is his brother.

Musician

Haeusler was initially the singer and guitarist of the Plan B music group and was in dispute with the record company until it was dissolved in 1994. In 2012 the band announced their reunion.

Radio presenter

Haeusler worked as a radio presenter for SFB 2 ( Stix'n Stones ) and later for the Berlin youth broadcaster Radio 4U , which then became Radio Fritz . There Haeusler presented the Soundgarden and with Jürgen Kuttner the show Weltall, Erde, 42 . He also took over the creation of a multimedia project called Fritz CD-Rom for the radio station in 1993 . After a year, an originally planned “interactive program plan” turned into a game that was exceptional at the time and achieved good sales as well as receiving smaller awards. From 1995 to 2000 Haeusler was the presenter of the Chaos Computer Club program Chaosradio on the youth radio station Fritz. At Radio Fritz, from October 2006 to March 2007, Haeusler was editor and presenter of the two-hour radio program Trackback , which deals with blogs, podcasts and Creative Commons music. Today Haeusler also moderates issues of the Spreeblick at Flux FM .

Media design

In the mid-1990s, Haeusler created websites for bands and music labels such as Lemonbabies , Gautsch or Fettes Brot, and attached great importance to global digital networking. As a result, he pursued an "X" baptized project that today strongly Apple's iTunes - Online Shop recalls.

In 1998 he made media design his profession and founded defcom GmbH. The MTV nanopops are also an invention from Haeusler's agency and have been awarded by the Art Directors Club . At the end of 2011, 15 short stories were published as an e-book under the title I Live by the River! in own Spreeblick publishing house. The book Netzgemüse - Aufzucht und Pflege der Generation Internet , written together with his wife Tanja, was published by Goldmann Verlag in December 2012. The non-fiction book sees itself as a field report and aims to help parents of adolescents to deal with the Internet in a more relaxed, realistic and fear-free manner. The basis for the book were personal experiences and experiences with the ten and thirteen year old sons. In 2016, he and his wife Tanja Häusler organized the first teenage internetwork convention, or Tincon for short, in Berlin, which was only accessible to young people.

Haeusler is co-author of the Charter of Digital Fundamental Rights of the European Union , which was published at the end of November 2016.
