Alfred Gramsch

Alfred Gramsch (born October 26, 1894 in Berlin ; † September 15, 1988 in Oldenburg ) was a German educator , administrative officer and politician ( CDU ).

Life and work

After participating in the First World War, Gramsch completed a pedagogical university course in Berlin and Marburg with the subjects German, history and geography, which he completed with a doctorate as a Dr. phil. completed. After completing his studies, he worked as a teacher in Marburg. In 1931 he took over the post of senior director of studies in Wilhelmshaven. In 1936 he was dismissed from office and worked as a private teacher until he entered the military. In 1945 he was appointed ministerial advisor to the Ministry of the State of Oldenburg, where he was active in the reconstruction of the secondary school system and the college of education. From 1955 he headed the Churches and Schools department of the Oldenburg administration president.

politics

Gramsch joined the DNVP in 1918 . He was active in local politics, first as a senator in Marburg and as councilor and chairman of the German Nationalists in Wilhelmshaven. After the Second World War , he joined the CDU. In 1963 he was a co-founder of the Evangelical Working Group (EAK) in Oldenburg, which he chaired until 1976, a member of the church council and the regional synod. He was chairman of the Oldenburg district association of war graves care and chairman of the Oldenburg youth recreation center in Wangerooge .

He was a member of the Lower Saxony State Parliament for the 4th and 5th electoral periods from May 6, 1959 to June 5, 1967.
