Spurius Furius Medullinus Fusus (Consul 481 BC)

According to tradition, Spurius Furius Medullinus Fusus was a Roman consul in 481 BC. Together with Kaeso Fabius Vibulanus . Spurius Furius is mentioned in the tradition of Livius without cognomen . Dionysius of Halicarnassus and Diodorus name "Medullinus" as cognomen. In the Fasti Capitolini is handed down as cognomen (... [Medulli] n. Fusus) .

In the year of his consulate, Spurius Furius is said to have undertaken a campaign against the Aequer - according to Livius, not worth mentioning . This campaign is also represented by Dionysius, he also reports of a further campaign against the Acres in 478 BC. The latter campaign is to be regarded as unhistorical.
