Manfred Marent

Manfred M. Marent (born October 22, 1930 in Schruns , Vorarlberg) is an Austrian Capuchin priest and missionary in Madagascar .

Marent attended the high school for boys in Bludenz from 1941 to 1944 . From 1945 he attended the Episcopal High School Paulinum in Schwaz in Tyrol. In 1947 Marent began a novitiate with the Capuchins in Innsbruck . After his ordination in 1954, he worked for three years in Ried im Innkreis in Upper Austria. He then worked for two years in the village of Perjen in the city of Landeck . In 1960 Marent went to Madagascar as a missionary at his own request.

In Madagascar he supports schools and hospitals.
