Culture and sights

Educational institutions

Landeck-Perjen federal high school
  • The Perjen kindergarten is run in two groups.
  • The Perjen elementary school went into operation on 1951/52. After the previous primary school in Angedair could no longer accept all of the students, the city commissioned the construction of another school. The building was inaugurated on October 14, 1951. Currently (Schj. 2007/08) it is run in four classes with 92 school children.

Sports facilities

  • The Fun Park was established in 1998 and was a joint leisure facility of the municipality of Landeck and the municipality of Zams. It was right on the national cycle path, north of the Inn, between Landeck / Perjen and Zams. The fun park could be used all year round. It offered 2 volleyball courts, halfpipe - skate opportunities, street hockey and a children's playground. The park had to give way to the second tube of the Perjen tunnel.
  • The football stadium Perjen is played by SV Landeck. Since the new building in 1998, it has consisted of a complex with a clubhouse. The 1000-seat sports facility, designed by architect Franz Vesely, was inaugurated on April 9, 2000 and made available to the football clubs. SV Landeck was founded in 1932 and currently plays in the District League West.
  • The Perjen swimming pool was opened on June 5, 1925 in the "Upper Perjener Au". With a 50-meter pool, the bathing establishment in Höttingerau in Innsbruck was one of the largest pools in Tyrol . The municipal outdoor swimming pool in the Perjen district, which has existed since 1925, underwent its first extensive renovation in 1982. The concrete pool was dismantled and a new stainless steel multi-purpose pool was installed. As a result, there were profound changes such as the construction of the filter and chlorine gas system, which brought the water treatment for the multi-purpose pool to the state of the art. In 1989/90, areas of 2,000 m² were acquired and the leisure facility was completely rebuilt and redesigned according to the plans of the Rieder architect Mathoi. Future-oriented measures and innovations were the refurbished children's paddling pool, a walk-through channel, the cabin wing with sanitary facilities, a buffet and the installation of a solar system to supplement the hot water preparation. The problem of access to the outdoor swimming pool facility was solved by a footpath that is much lower than the swimming pool area and that leads directly through the area and opens up the facility on two sides from the west and east.
