Spydeberg

Spydeberg is a former Norwegian municipality in inner Østfold . The highest point is Spydeberg varde , 258 m above sea level. NN. Spydeberg was transferred to the newly founded municipality of Indre Østfold on January 1, 2020 .

Culture

Spydeberg is the host of the Hyllifestival . In Spydeberg there is a new culture house, an all-purpose house which, in addition to handball fields, also houses a large school and culture section. The Norwegian Catholic Conference Center is located in Mariaholm .

Millennium site

The so-called millennium site , d. H. the most striking monument of the municipality is the Nespark , the former Heuerhof Nes below Søndre Grini. The Nespark was inaugurated on December 31, 1999. On May 17, 2000 a memorial with a spear was unveiled, created by Jens Bøhler based on an idea by his son Øystein. It is the same motif of a spearhead as in the municipal coat of arms.

Hylligrava is about 4000 years old and built of large, flat stone slabs grave box .
