Srđan Pecelj (born March 12, 1975 in Mostar ) is a former Bosnian-Herzegovinian football player, he was used as a defender.
Career
society
He started his career in the youth of Velež Mostar , after which he played for the first team in the 1991/92 season. Then he moved to Serbia to play for Red Star Belgrade. After he did not get a lot of missions there, however, he moved to the next season on loan to the club FK Železnik, which is also based in Belgrade . Then he went to Spain to FC Barcelona, where he was only able to play in the B team due to strong competition in the team, and even there he only made 9 appearances. For the next season he then left Spain for Serbia to join FK Cukaricki . In the following season he went to Red Star Belgrade again, for which he was active for two seasons.
In the summer of 1999 he moved to Greece to play for Paniliakos Pyrgos . The next year he went to Russia, where he played with Sokol Saratow until the end of the year . The following year he worked for Shimizu S-Pulse in Japan . From 2003 to 2005 he went back to Europe, more precisely to Croatia for NK Inter Zaprešić . In Austria he continued from 2005 to 2007 at VfB Admira Wacker Mödling . Then in 2008 he went on to ASK SK Schwadorf within the country , which he then left again in the same year. Again in the direction of Croatia, back to NK Inter Zaprešić. In 2010 he went on to NK Novalja within Croatia . His last club was NK Rudar Trbovlje in Slovenia, he ended his playing career in the summer of 2012.
National team
In 1997 he had two missions for the U-21 team of Serbia and Montenegro . In June 2001 he had five appearances for the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina as part of the Merdeka Cup .
Private
His brother Miljan Pecelj is also a football player.
