Stéphane Borbiconi (born March 22, 1979 in Villerupt ) is a former French football player.

Career

From 1997 to 1999 Stéphane Borbiconi played in the B team of FC Metz , for which he completed 51 league games. In 1999 he was promoted to the professional squad, but after only three games in two years he was awarded to FC Martigues in 2001 . After 34 games and two goals, he returned to Metz and immediately won a regular place in the defense. In 2006 he moved to Manisaspor in Turkey after 135 league games and twelve goals . There he also came regularly to league games, but on July 7, 2009 he returned to FC Metz, where he signed a three-year contract. In 2010 he was awarded to the Azerbaijani club FK Baku . Returning to his home club Metz, Borbiconi was seriously injured at the start of the 2011/12 season and had to end his career.
