Stéphane Richi Oméonga (born March 27, 1996 in Liège ) is a Belgian football player who is under contract with CFC Genoa .

Career

society

From 2013 Stéphane Oméonga played for three years for the youth teams of RSC Anderlecht . In July 2016 he moved to the Italian second division club US Avellino 1912 . For the club from the Campania region , he played 30 games in the 2016/17 season . During the summer break, the first division club CFC Genua Oméonga signed for a transfer fee of € 500,000. In Genoa he mostly played as a substitute in the 2017/18 season . In the following Serie A season he only played three times until January 2019. He was then awarded to Hibernian Edinburgh in Scotland . He made his debut against Motherwell FC on January 23, 2019.

For the 2019/20 season he was loaned to the Belgian club Cercle Brugge with a subsequent purchase option. After he had only played three times for the club in the first half of the season, the loan deal was ended prematurely in January 2020. Oméonga was then awarded a second time to Hibernian Edinburgh.

National team

Since 2017, Oméonga has been ranked several times for the Belgian U-21 national team . However, he has not played a full game so far. Since the end of the U-21 European Championship in 2019 , he is no longer eligible to play for the U-21 national team.
