Stéphanie Mourou-Vikström

Stéphanie Mourou-Vikström (born November 1, 1970 in Marseille ) is a Monegasque lawyer and judge at the European Court of Human Rights .

Live and act

After completing her Baccalauréat in 1988, Mourou-Vikström studied law at the University of Aix-en-Provence from June 1989 . There she obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree in international law in 1991 and a Master of Laws degree in 1992 . Another year later she obtained the Diplôme d'études approfondies . In 1999, under the supervision of Yves Daudet , she became a PhD with a thesis on the international relations of the Principality of Monaco in Aix-en-Provence. iur. PhD. She then completed the French judge training program, which she successfully completed in 2001. After working as a public prosecutor in Monaco, she became a judge at the Monaco court of first instance in 2006, and in 2012 she was promoted to presiding judge there. She has been a member of the European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice (CEPEJ) since 2012.

On June 23, 2015, Mourou-Vikström was elected judge at the European Court of Human Rights to succeed Isabelle Berro as representative of Monaco . She began her term of office, which is expected to last until 2024, on September 17, 2015.
