St-Gorgon is a Roman Catholic church in Plovan in the Finistère department in Brittany . The church and the Calvary in the churchyard have been classified as Monument historique since 1915 .

history

The church, which is essentially medieval, is the result of a major renovation in 1791. The western parts of the nave date from the late 13th century and, with their pillars, capitals and Romanesque arches, correspond to the building school of Pont-Croix . The eastern components are late Gothic. The west gable with the bell tower was built in the Flamboyant Gothic style around 1520. Inside the church houses many pieces of equipment that come from the now ruined Chapelle de Languidou .
