St Martin's Church in Abancourt

The Roman Catholic parish church of St-Martin in Abancourt , a French parish in the Nord department in the Hauts-de-France region , was built from 1923 on the site of a previous building that had been destroyed in the First World War .

The St. Martin consecrated church was built by architect Pierre Leprince-Ringuet. The reinforced concrete church on Place de l'Église was clad with bricks. Christ is shown in relief above the arched main entrance . He wears the long dress of a philosopher . To the right of the entrance, a rectangular bell tower overlooks the nave .

The round choir is painted with frescoes on the theme of the life of St. Martin.
