The St. Anna Primary School is a school building in Munich . It is registered as an architectural monument in the Bavarian list of monuments.
location
The school is located in the Lehel district of Munich on the corner of Liebigstrasse and St.-Anna-Strasse. On Liebigstrasse, the building adjoins the north wing of the St. Anna Gymnasium to the west , and to the south of the building is the playground between the school building and the parish church of St. Anna im Lehel .
building
The first school building on this site was built in 1840/41 according to plans by Karl Muffat in a round arch style . It was increased in 1875/76 and destroyed in a bomb attack on November 27, 1944.
The current school building was built between 1953 and 1955 according to plans by Helmut von Werz and Johann-Christoph Ottow . It consists of two parts of the building with a flat roof. On Liebigstrasse there is a slightly convex, five-storey longitudinal building, which is connected to an elevated front building one storey lower at the corner of St.-Anna-Strasse.
